Petition: Free our unions!

Petition addressed to Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party

The reality is that strikes are largely illegal in Britain, as result of numerous laws introduced over almost four decades. In line with the votes at Labour conference in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019, all these anti-union laws, from Thatcher’s 1980 Employment Act to Cameron’s 2016 Trade Union Act, must be scrapped, and replaced with positive rights for workers and unions, including a strong right to strike. We call on the Labour Party to pledge the next Labour government to do that.
