This forum brings together two different perspectives from the radical left to debate how we might advance the struggle for a sustainable future.

Extinction Rebellion are building a network of activists to undertake civil disobedience with the aim of forcing the government to commit to tell the truth about climate change, enact legally binding policies to create a zero carbon by 2025 and for a Citizens’ Assembly to oversee this process.

Workers' Liberty is a revolutionary socialist organisation campaigning for a workers’-led just trasition to a zero carbon economy. The organised working-class has both the power and the interest in disrupting fossil-fuel dependent capitalism, taking industry into collective ownership and placing economic life under democratic control. We seek to organise socialists together to transform the mass workers’ organisations so they are fit for this task.
