SWR cooks the books to justify cuts

With hundreds of South Western Railway (SWR) services facing the axe, RMT is rightly calling attention to the fact that the "consultations" used to justify them were total shams.

Market research of passengers was conducted in and around pandemic lockdowns, and unsurprisingly produced results indicating reluctance to use public transport. SWR has conveniently ignored Network Rail's own study, from July 2021, which projected passenger demand that would require increases to the levels of service.

Nearly 3,000 people have signed an RMT petition rejecting the cuts. Share it with your workmates!
