While upgrading the signalling system on the Jubilee Line extension, Tubelines have laid miles and miles of the wrong kind of cable, setting the upgrade project back by months. Some high-up managers will have a lot of questions to answer on how a cock-up of this magnitude could come about. This will have been a very costly mistake for Tubelines, who are already going bust. They are billions in debt, just surviving on their income from L.U. The RMT should be pushing now to bring Tubelines back in-house and end this nonsensical, parasitical PPP.
