📢 Workers and unions vs. Trump 📢

A Tubeworker and Off The Rails public (Zoom) meeting

🗓 Thursday 17 April

🕰️ 15:00-17:00

🇺🇸 Donald Trump’s far-right regime is mounting an across-the-board assault on democratic rights and freedoms. This includes mass deportations and attacks on women’s and LGBT+ rights. His government has also sacked tens of thousands of public sector workers.

How have workers and unions in the US resisted so far, and what further resistance is possible?

🗣️ We’ll hear from Paul Garver , a member of the National Labor Commission of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and a member of the Steering Committee of DSA International Committee.

We’ll also have a contribution from Joe, a young RMT member arrested for climate activism. We’ll discuss parallels between police clampdowns on both sides of the Atlantic, and how these could affect union organising.

🗓 Thursday 17 April

🕰️ 15:00-17:00

📝 Following the discussion, we’ll hold an editorial meeting to agree the contents for the next edition of Tubeworker bulletin. All Tube workers, directly employed and outsourced, are welcome.
