The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) has launched a Palestine Solidarity Fund, which will direct donations to humanitarian causes via the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions.
The ITF writes: "Transport unions in Egypt and across the region have committed to delivering as many trucks as we can fill with lifesaving essential supplies for our Palestinian siblings. In close cooperation with the PGFTU, funds will be directed to internationally recognised humanitarian organisations operating in Gaza. We will also work with the International Labour Organization (ILO) by supporting its urgent funding appeal to implement a three-phase programme focused on immediate relief, longer-term recovery and social protection for Palestinian workers."
