A small outbreak of online Trot-bashing from some truly sad union hacks:
- Scandalfax, wittering on about Trots in Unison and specialising in juvenile personal abuse;
- Trials, trots and tribulations in Amicus, pouring scorn on those it disgrees with from behind the cover of anonymity.
My favourite quote from the latter is the reference to "election of officials, a romantic notion hung over from a bygone era". Which tells you something about the politics of the author. Not just against 'Trotskyism' eh? Also against democracy.
The politics are terrible, the diatribes pathetic, and the beneficiaries the right wing. I bet they learned it all in the student movement.

It all seems very juvenile and tiresome to me. And it's a reminder that despite its flaws, being involved in RMT does have its advantages - one of which being that we don't have to put up with this kind of crap. And that's despite having our fair share of Stalinists!
So I suspect that even there is a Stalinist connection (and there likely is), to be this kind of "Trot-basher", you also need to be very very right wing and particularly puerile.
