Over 1,000 workers at 2 Sisters Food Group factories in West Bromwich and Wolverhampton have struck against a management contract offer which proposes a 20p/hour pay increase and seven-day shift patterns.

Unite officer Sulinder Singh said: “This action is unprecedented. It is the first time in 15 years this has taken place, with workers coming together for a show of unity. This is about changing the entire culture around the business.”
