China's pseudo-parliament has just had its annual meeting. (Just ten days: the rulers see no need to keep the show going longer).
According to the Financial Times (10 March), the official media's report on the sessions includes such headlines as: "Attractive females at sessions".
In another move giving the lie to China's "socialist" pretences, plans are moving ahead - vetted and approved in advance by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television - for a Chinese version of the TV series "Gossip Girl," which glamourises a group of back-stabbing wealthy Manhattan dwellers.
