Local Labour Parties consider options for conference 2011

For Labour Party conference 2011 Constituency Labour Parties (CLPs) can submit either a rule-change proposal (by 24 June) or a 'contemporary' motion (by 16 September; but it must be 'contemporary', i.e. refer to recent events, i.e., in effect, events in August).

You may prefer to wait until contemporary-motions time, and submit a motion demanding Labour fight against new anti-union laws, and commit to repeal the existing (Tory) ones (kept in operation by the Blair-Brown government). You will have to word the motion to link to an event in August raising that issue.

Friday 24 June is also the deadline for submissions to the Labour Party's official review of its structure, conducted by Peter Hain.

As the 24 June deadline approaches, there is a flood of bad news about shifts in Labour Party and trade union officialdom: click here for the details.
