According to a post on the French Trotskyist website www.le-militant.org, Robert Barcia, also known as "Hardy", the long-time leader of the "Lutte Ouvriere" group in France, has died.
The news came out in September 2010, but apparently Barcia died in July 2009. Lutte Ouvriere has published no statement or obituary on his death, saying that this abstention from publicity corresponds to Barcia's last wishes.
Barcia was mostly active behind the scenes, but published a book in 2003, The true history of Lutte Ouvriere, in the form of interviews with the journalist Christophe Bourseiller.
