MY TIME MACHINE IN COLINDALE

Verse

MY TIME MACHINE IN COLINDALE

Time flies — but so can I!
I flit, gadfly, pilgrim
Around in time; I fly
Back and forth at whim,
Zoom in and out and back
And forth through years, decades
And centuries — through cracks
In the fabrics of Time, afraid
Of nothing, guaranteed
Through wars and slaughter, safe;
I go at my own speed
Involved, but calm, aloof:
The safest place to be,
My Time Machine, sweet vale
Of wisdom: all to see,
Time-free, at Colindale.
