AWL trade union dayschool, 15 September
By David Broder
Created 11 Aug 2007 - 11:16am

15 September
Somers Town Community Centre, 150 Ossulston Street, London
(Behind the British Library: Kings Cross rail or tube)

With the postal workers' strike, the most important dispute for many years, and the possibility of a united public sector fightback being stymied by the trade union leaderships, this school will provide a forum to help the class-struggle left in the unions get organised.

Sessions:

● Live issues on the industrial front including:
Perspectives on the postal workers dispute
The public sector pay freeze

● Organising around strikes;
In which we will look at the lessons to be learnt from recent disputes.

● Being an effective Marxist in the workplace and the union;
Developing strategies, arguing for socialist ideas.

Registration is from 11am and a charge of £8 or £4 will be made to cover hall expenses etc.

A professionally staffed crèche will be provided.
