RMT members on the Docklands Light Railway have decisively rejected both of the company's inadequate pay offers.
The scores on the doors were as follows:
That's a massive 84% rejection, and a solid basis for an immediately strike ballot. The union has not declared a strike ballot though, instead demanding a meeting with management. But Tubeworker can see no reason why we couldn't ballot and talk at the same time. In fact, that would put more pressure on the company to cough up.
It would also see DLR 'catch up' with LUL RMT members in the progress of the dispute, bringing closer the date when the two workforces can strike together for maximum effect.
LUL staff should also note that both the offers that their DLR workmates rejected with better than the offer from LUL!
