East Ham staff have delivered a whopping Yes vote for strike action against the rampant bullying on their group and to demand the reinstatement of Sarah Hutchins. 40+ RMT members voted Yes, just 2 No. Hardly surprising given the regime on the group, but it is still good news to see East Ham taking a strong stand to defend workers against management.

Watch this speace for news of when strike action will take place. The most effective thing for the union to do would be to coincide it with action on other groups and in other grades - Charing Cross, Rickmansworth, TubeLines, cleaners, CBS Outdoor, ...

Pretty soon it will be easier to list those areas and grades NOT in dispute. So the union should do the sensible thing and just ballot everyone. It is not like issues such as forced displacements, unfair sackings and management bullying are confined to just one or two places, is it?!
