Vote "No" in CWU Ballot!

CWU

Ballot papers to vote on the Royal Mail deal will go out on 9 November, and the ballot closes on the 27th. Activists from the postal side of the post and telecom union CWU met on Saturday 27 October to plan campaigning for a "no" vote. Download the "vote no" leaflet here.

The deal with Royal Mail was signed by CWU leaders Dave Ward and Billy Hayes on 12 October, and finally (with some amendments) endorsed by the CWU Postal Executive on 22 October.

The activists have also started an excellent website with further information and discussion about the deal.

The emergence of this group is very important and positive. Before it emerged, the postal side of the CWU, although probably the best-organised and most assertive group of workers in Britain, had no organised left-wing network within it.

Another site also has further discussion by postal workers on the deal.
