Workers' Liberty trade union school

Somers Town Community Centre, 150 Ossulton St, London NW1 (behind the British Library)


Description: 

Registration is from 11am, the school will run until 5pm, and a charge of £8 or £4 will be made to cover hall expenses etc.

We will be running three sessions:

11:30 to 13:00, and 13:45 to 15:15 - two workshop sessions. Each workshop will be run twice, 13:15 to 14:30 and 14:30 to 15:45, so that everyone at the school can attend both workshops.
Workshop A: - Being an effective Marxist in the workplace and the union. Developing strategies, arguing for socialist ideas.
Workshop B: Organising around strikes. In which we will look at the lessons to be learnt from recent disputes that AWL members have been involved in.

15:30 to 17:00 - Live issues on the industrial front including: • perspectives on the postal workers dispute; • the public sector pay freeze.
