Campaign for a fighting and democratic union [CFDU]

RMT members need a union which fights on our behalf and behaves in a democratic manner. To ensure this happens the London Underground Engineering Branch has sponsored a meeting to discuss what we need to do on several issues. The provisional agenda is:

  1. Metronet privatisation shambles; what should the union do?

  2. Disputes: the rule book, lone working, station staffing.
  3. The east london line: is a dispute against privatisation necessary? Can we have one under the current anti-union laws?
  4. National Shop Stewards Movement
  5. Speakers from post office and civil service strikes
  6. Any other business
