Staff applying from promotion have been flummoxed to discover that the application form asks them for names and addresses of former employers - and even for exam results from school!

Excuse us, but since we already work for LUL, management should be able to form their own judgements on us, and anyway, have all that information on our staff files already. And for many of us, previous employers and school are a distant memory.

In investigation, it turns out that you don't actually have to fill those bits in, as they are designed for external applicants. So why doesn't the form say that?! And why are those sections included in application forms for jobs, such as the current CRA recruitment, that are for internal applicants only?!

Could it possibly be because the promotion process has been chaos since it was privatised and given to Reed Recruitment? LUL should call a halt to its staff being messed about like this - ditch Reed and do their recruitment and promotion themselves.
