    We should definitely oppose

We should definitely oppose UN or Africa Union intervention.
Seeing and hearing the suffering of people seems to make a very compelling case for intervention but the only intervention that can be of any use would be massive aid from the international workers' movement which, under some conditions, could include military aid.
But any intervention by 'the UN' would be an imperialist one- using one of their regional gendarmes to exert even more control over the region and promote further instability.

Our intervention should include opposing all immigration controls and supporting progressive initiatives by African workers and peasants. Don't know enough details of any such initiatives in Darfur. Do know of a progressive struggle by ethiopian trade unionists sho have also opposed the attacks on Somalis mentioned elsehwere on this website.
