"Capital, empire and revolution" conference

As part of the preparation of the London European Social Forum, the journals HISTORICAL MATERIALISM and SOCIALIST REGISTER, as well as the ISAAC AND TAMARA DEUTSCHER MEMORIAL PRIZE COMMITTEE invite you to a two-day conference on ‘CAPITAL, EMPIRE AND REVOLUTION’ on Saturday 9 October – Sunday 10 October 2004, at Birkbeck College, London.

Speakers include : ELMAR ALTVATER, JOSEPH FRACCHIA, CHRIS ARTHUR, PATRICK MURRAY, LEO PANITCH, COLIN LEYS, VIVEK CHIBBER, MICHAEL DENNING, MICHAEL HEINRICH, PAUL MATTICK JNR., RICHARD WALKER, SUMIT SARKAR, GEORGE COMNINEL.

NEIL DAVIDSON AND BENNO TESCHKE will be delivering their ISAAC AND TAMARA DEUTSCHER MEMORIAL PRIZE LECTURES on the Saturday.

Other invited speakers include : DAVID MCNALLY, GERARD DUMENIL, MOISHE POSTONE, PATRICK BOND, ELLEN WOOD, PETER GOWAN.
