London AWL will be running a study course on Marx's Capital, volume 1.

The basic reading is Otto Rühle's abridgement of Capital volume 1, downloadable here, though students are encouraged to read the full text. Also downloadable: letter of invitation to the course, and leaflet for it, which you can use to publicise it to your friends.

The course consists of ten sessions, run over ten weeks. The emphasis is on discussion and participation, rather than just lectures.

Each session in the course will be repeated three times (Sunday midday, Sunday evening, and Monday evening) so that the maximum number of people can follow the course. You may normally choose to attend on a Sunday midday, for example, but if one week that is difficult for you, you can take the Monday evening session that particular week. Or vice versa.

The course will run from session 1 on Sunday 10 October and Monday 11 October through to session 10 on Sunday 12 December and Monday 13 December.
