Every year, the French socialist group Lutte Ouvrière organises a massive festival in Presles-de-Courcelle, near Paris: the Fête.

Tens of thousands of lefties from all over France, Europe and the world come to enjoy music, amazing food and drink (seriously), performances, talks from writers and artists, socialist debates, interactive exhibitions in the “City of Science”, a medieval village, and more.

In addition, there are stalls, forums and presentations from socialist groups linked to Lutte Ouvrière from all over the world, from India to the Caribbean, from Russia to West Africa.

This is a great opportunity to meet socialists from all over the world, eat some great food for cheap, and have a laugh in the gorgeous grounds of the Chateau de Presles

Food at the Fete is subsidised and is reasonably affordable; accommodation is camping, with decent toilet and washing facilities. Entry costs €12 before 12 April (£9), and food and drink are subsidised, varied and delicious.

Workers' Liberty activists are sending a delegation over – it's cheaper, easier and more fun to travel and camp together. So if you fancy coming along, sign up to this event and/or email awl@workersliberty.org – and if you've been before, post up some pictures of the event
