After almost five years of intense class struggle in Greece, the radical left party Syriza could win the 25 January general election there.

These developments are a political earthquake which is rightly creating great interest and excitement on the left in Britain. How can we build on that to generate concrete solidarity, promote wider understanding of the issues in Greece, and advance the class struggle and build the left here?

What is Syriza and how did it rise to prominence? What other forces exist in the Greek labour movement and left? What should we say about Greece's relationship with the EU and the possibility of Greece leaving or being forced to leave the Euro? Will a Syriza government serve the working class? Is workers' power on the agenda in Greece?

Speakers will include Workers' Liberty supporter THEODORA POLENTA, who has just returned from Greece, plus members of a solidarity delegation that is visiting during the election.
