LU Loses £58.5 Million In Unpaid Fares

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

London Underground's survey into 'ticket irregularity' shows LU lost £58.5 million in unpaid fares last year (adjusted to £30.8 million after taking incomplete journeys into account).

LU plans to save £50 million from 'Fit for the Future - Stations'. How come it can tolerate millions in lost revenue but sees our jobs and wages as waste that should be cut?

If LU thought our jobs would be a simple source of savings, we've shown them it won't be so easy! We've given them a fight, which will make them think twice before coming for service control, engineers' and drivers' jobs.
