SSP practising censorship?

Peter Burton, a member of the Scottish Socialist Party, writes:

I have received rather unique treatment in terms of censorship within the SSP over the years. Around 15 articles have not been printed over a 4 year period, most of them uncritical reviews of books or documentaries and none of them long. In other words nothing has been printed that I have sent in to the "Scottish Socialist Voice".
The latest was a re-vamped article of Martin's on the Euro.

When I complained at an SSP AGM 3 years ago (at that time my score was zero out of 7), Alan McCombes replied that thay were not in the business of printing articles of "Weekly Worker" type proportions as these did not go down to well on the streets of Govan - a complete lie.

I joined the SSP discussion forum about three weeks ago and contributed three articles, one on
independence, one on the euro and another on an AWL Capital reading group, having been supplied with a password by the moderator. On trying to enter the password again there has repeatedly been an authentication error. All attempts to secure a new username and password are ignored.

The fact that the SSP editorial board occasionally print articles by other AWL members and RCN members increases the sense of isolation and makes gaining support difficult.

I would like ideas for an effective campaign.

Peter Burton
