ACCUSERS
Sharp-toothed, taloned, lizard birds
Raw-eyed, snarling vengefully,
Darting through my walls of glass
Out of the invulnerable past,
Screech and roar, cut and slash
To strike dry poisoned rending wounds
Through one-way walls, ripping me,
Now I'm too weak to strike at them:
Shap-taloned screeching birds that drown
Out talk and thought, 'till they alone
Are with me here, because you are not.
