7:84 Theatre
Submitted on 18 August, 2004 - 23:00Going since 1973, 7:84 is Scotland's foremost political touring theatre company. Its name derives from the statistic that 7% of the country owns 84% of the capital wealth. That stat is from 1966, but has changed little since then.

iJamming!
Submitted on 18 August, 2004 - 23:00In the late 1970s, Jamming! started life as a fanzine. There was quite a movement of these at the time - DIY, photocopied publications, a kind of rank-and-file mag for music fans. By the early 80s, Jamming! had become the best and biggest of the lot, before its untimely demise when it tried to go upmarket and glossy.
Founder and editor Tony Fletcher now lives in New York and runs this website, with lots of reviews and information, interesting political comment, and no reticience about expressing his views and tastes. Good on you, Tony.
