Weekly AWL organising webchats: trade-union webchat 7.15pm Sunday, general organisers' webchat 8pm Sunday. To take part, either:
(1) Download a small programme onto your computer - mIRC for Windows or Ircle for Macs - and set up mIRC (or Ircle) to connect to server irc.freenode.net and channel #wlsite. Irc.freenode.net is not on the default lists of servers supplied with mIRC and Ircle, so you have to use the "Add new server" option. When asked to enter "Group" or "Password", leave those fields blank. Leave "Port" as 6667. Or:
(2) Download an even smaller programme, the "PJIRC chat applet", here. This option works fine with Safari or Internet Explorer 6, but not with Internet Explorer 7 and some other web browsers.
