We are excited to have two inspirational guest speakers visiting QMUL at the end of this month; Hamed Qawasmeh (UN Human Rights Analyst) and Arella Dunayevsky (Susiya Village Group).

They will be speaking about the current political realities in the West Bank and how cooperation across the divide can be effective. They will also be speaking about the experiences of the Susiya Village Group, in the South Hebron (Al Khalil) Hills.

Only a few days ago, Susiya was attacked by settlers: http://palsolidarity.org/2010/12/16282/

We also have Bil'in in our thoughts, as another protestor has been killed; the sister of peace activist Bassem; who was murdered last year. R.I.P http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/bil-in-protester-dies-after-exposure-to-tear-gas-shot-by-idf-1.334627
