Description:

Although post-modernism and various other schools of thought have attempted to appropriate his legacy, Gramsci's contribution to Marxism sets him out as a dedicated fighter for working-class power. Centrally involved in revolutionary class struggles in Italy in the early 20th century, Gramsci developed ideas and methods for how the working-class could take control of their workplaces and society. With the last two years witnessing a spate of workplace occupations in the UK, can we apply Gramsci's ideas on factory councils today?
