So you thought that LUL's strategy is to replace staffed ticket offices with passenger-operated ticket machines? So did we.
So why have they sent people to certain stations to remove the few-fare machine and replace it with ... a panel. Yes, that's a plain panel, containing precisely nothing at all. Nowt. Zilch. Just a sheet of nothingness.
Perhaps management are too tight to replace the machine with a better one. Or even to keep the current one in service. But it looks like they also think they can con our customers, dazzling them with a futuristic vision that doesn't have the actual kit to back it up.
The sooner we help them see through this con, the better.
