We Have Lift Off
Management have had a bright idea - you know, one of those that involves compromising safety in order to keep the service running and the cash coming in.
So what is this bright idea? They want to keep Holloway Road station open if the lifts go out of service. Quite how they plan to get people out in an emergency is anyone's guess, since Holloway Road is so deep that it was one of the handful of stations that LUL felt forced to close during the firefighters' strikes five years ago.
But hey - in the event of an emergency, it will be us and the passengers who are on site and at risk, while the managers who dream this stuff up are safe in their offices.
