TubeLines Workers Vote For Action

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

RMT's strike ballot on TubeLines has come back with a whopping mandate for action: 266-42 (85%) for strikes, 289-24 (92%) for action short of strikes.

RMT is still thinking about what action to call, and given the recent experience of Metronet workers, it is vital that the strike committee asserts itself.

Meanwhile, London Underground workers on the JNP lines should remember that it is not safe to run stations or trains without skilled engineers on duty. On top of this, the ERU (Emergency Response Unit) for the whole Underground is entirely within TubeLines, so whatever line you work on, you are not safe without them.
