Infracos Beware

Disputes

Metronet and TubeLines workers' strike committee met last night to co-ordinate their action across the entire network. Leading London Underground union activists were also on hand to give solidarity and support for the coming strikes and promised to refuse to work if they were under imminent danger. Hehehe.

"The bosses are looking for a war to crush the RMT", it was reported - "Well, they can have one then." It was reported that TfL have brought their own people into Metronet to stir up trouble with the union.

Three strategies are now being looked at - up to week-long strikes, unofficial overtime bans and wildcat action. A TubeLines activist said, "Last September was fantastic, but this one will be better. They won't run a train for a week."

It seems strange that these companies cannot sort out passes and pensions for Metronet workers yet can spend millions on accountants for the continuing administration. Or TubeLines can make massive profits yet can not sort out pay issues from two years ago.

These workers have had enough so look out for a picket line near you soon.
