Frying Pan. Fire.

Bakerloo Line

LUL's plan to move detrainments from Willesden Junction to Stonebridge Park will whip staff out of the frying pan and toss them into the fire.

Stonebridge lacks the most basic facilities that station staff need to get through a shift in minimum comfort. The best 'solution' management seem able to come up with between them is a 'bespoke two-person GLAP' on the northbound platform. Yup, you read that right. A big box. And unless it's the Tardis, it will be entirely inadequate.

Thus far, the 'bespoke' box will have a phone, some heating (of what standard we do not know) and a plug socket. We wonder how much kit the company plans to plug into said socket, but either you won't have all the office equipment you need - computer, DVA, Tracker, etc - or you will and there will be no room for any actual staff!

And if you fancy a cuppa or nature calls, then you'll have to haul yourself 100m or so up and down stairs and through an underpass to get to the messing facilities and toilet. And you'd best hurry up or you might miss the next train.

Oh, and don't forget - management plan to leave you without a Supervisor after 8 in the evening and before 6 in the morning, and refuse to guarantee that you won't end up working alone.

Yet more reasons to resist management's casualisation plans and keep up the fight against lone working.
