Victory In 'KitKat Sacking' Fight

Anti-Victimisation Disputes

RMT has won the reinstatement of Mukesh Mahatma, after management backed down in the face of a strike threat. Or perhaps the company just suddenly saw the error of its judgment!

As readers will know, LUL sacked Mukesh over two boxes of KitKats. Staff on the Canary Wharf group recognised this as a complete injustice, and their willingness to take action put sufficient pressure on management to make them back down.

Well done to Mukesh and his workmates, to the union reps involved, to his branch and others across the region who rallied round.
