DLR Sacking Victory

DLR workers have won the reinstatement of a workmate after an unjust sacking. The Train Captain had been sacked - upheld on appeal - for driving through a work party, even though his duties appeared to require him to be at both ends of the train at the same time, and even though a colleague had not been sacked for doing the same thing!

The DLR RMT branch planned a campaign and a strike ballot, and management - possibly having got wind of this - backed down and reinstated him, albeit to PSA. Solidarity wins again.
