Battle of Ideas
- The discussion piece in Solidarity 3/136, "What if Israel bombs Iran?", provoked an explosion of website hysteria from a coalition of self-righteous people who, most of them, themselves support the Iranian mullahs having nuclear bombs, and who deny Israel's right to exist.
- Those "anti-Imperialists" on the "Left" who support the "right" of the Iranian clerical fascist regime to have nuclear weapons should be told that they are a bunch of confused reactionaries.
- A contact sheet distributed by the SWP defines the Holocaust as when the Nazis killed "thousands of LGBT people, trade unionists, and disabled people" - no mention of the six million Jews.
- In implying that those who leave the lecturers' union UCU over its boycott of Israel are right, the Engage group is effectively giving up on the left and the labour movement.
